LaVonda Hanna was born and raised in South Carolina and discovered her love for the written word after reading books such as Mama by Terry McMillian and Shades of Jade (author unknown). She realized she had a flare for writing in high school. She would write quasi skits that usually contained graphic content, and share it amongst her peers. The writings would circulate throughout the school and her classmates would be clamoring for more.

After a series of unfulfilling jobs and school experiences, she realized that writing was her first love. She began writing her first novel at the age of 35 and hasn’t stopped since. Her passion for women’s fiction is fueled by a desire to bring people into her creativity. She believes that reading is a way to escape a mundane life and experience things that you only dream about. Her writings will take you from heights of interest, to seduction, to suspense all in one swoop.

LaVonda is the mother of 3 amazing children. She now resides in the state of Georgia and is working on pursuing even higher heights in her writing. Her motto is, “I can do all things through Christ”. She does not believe in a ceiling, the sky is the limit.
