Sugar was born as Shalonda Rawls in 1985. Raised in Columbia Mississippi afforded her story after story from a pulpit, a classroom, eavesdropping to adults on the phone or at the dining room table. The words, “let me tell you what happened”, seemed to always spark her imagination and her curiosity. From there she learned to tell a story. It went from talking to writing. Several books into this passion, Sugar has no intention of slowing down.
