Chapter One
It had been a long week for Lovely. Being and interior designer was everything she ever dreamed of. She loved bringing a room or entire home to life. For her it wasn’t just about the money although it was very rewarding.
Today was Friday and she had one last minute client she was expecting. Eason Gray was already fifteen minutes late and Lovely was ready to go. She sent her secretary home an hour ago so it was just her.
A grin broke out onto her face when she saw her best friend calling. Trinity was reckless at the mouth, but she kept shit real. “What’s up, girl?” she answered hitting a few keys on her computer.
“Just got home. What’s up with you? I know you ain’t still in the office on a Friday?” Trinity questioned.
“Girl yes. Waiting on some guy to come in for a consult. He’s already late as hell.”
“Time is money and he’s obviously wasting your time. I hate niggas that think nobody’s time is valuable but theirs.”
“I’m giving him another fi—“
Before Lovely could utter another word a man walked in wearing some gray Nike sweatpants. A crispy white tank fit his muscular upper body which was decorated in colorful ink. One word came to mind…Toxic. This tall caramel sundae was toxic. Toxicity was written all over him. The way he licked those thick pinkish-brown lips made Lovely think of what that mouth could do. Yeah she had to hurry and get his fine ass up out there.
“Bitch why you stop talking?”
“Trinity let me call you back.”
“You good? I need to pull up?”
No. But I might be telling him to pull out!
“I’m good. I’ll call you when I’m done here.”
“Okay girl.”
Lovely cleared her throat before she stood her semi-tall frame from her chair. Eason she gathered roamed her body with his lens covered eyes. There was no reason this man should be as fine as he was.
“Mr. Gray you’re la—“
“Eason… please call me Eason.”
“As I was saying Mr. Gray you’re late. In fact you are more than fifteen minutes late. Apparently you only value your time because you sure don’t value others.”
“My apologies, beautiful.”
“It’s Miss Jones. Now let’s get down to business.” She flourished her hand for him to take a seat in front of her desk.
She dared not to look up from her screen when he took a seat in front of her desk. As tall as he was she knew he had to stretch his long muscular legs to get comfortable. Then he had the nerve to gap them open. Whatever cologne he wore filtered the air. This man smelled good and was fine as fuck. There had to be something wrong with his ass.
“So I see you are interested in decorating one of your rooms for a game room. You mentioned you wanted something bold as well as masculine.”
“Yes. I’m pretty sure you can handle whatever I throw your way.” He flashed a smile that was about to make her panties evaporate.
This fine mothafucka’ had to go! Now!
Clearing her throat again she clicked a few keys on her computer. She could feel his intense stare. This nigga was going to make her disintegrate from his burning stare. Lovely was bound to be a pile of ashes.
“I have some ideas. However, I would need to schedule a day and a time that works for you to look at the room you want decorated.” She stared at him.
He licked those lips again while damn near staring into her soul. Eason removed his glasses and she thought she would faint from how gorgeous he was. He leaned up licking his lips for the third fucking time. “You got a man?”
“That’s none of your business. The only thing you need to be concerned about is me getting the job you’re paying me for done.”
“I’m concerned about yo’ fine ass too. Let me take you out to dinner?”
“Are you hard of hearing?”
“No. Clearly yo’ pretty ass is. I know this is about business, although I intend on making you my business as well.” He smirked
This nigga had really rendered her speechless. Lovely had nothing to say. What the hell was really going on here? Sure she had been off the dating scene for the last three years, but was it really like this out here?
“Let me know what day and time you’re available for me to come by and look at your desired room.”
Eason stood up and Lovely couldn’t resist taking him in. Why did she allow her eyes to drop down to where his impressive print rested? Slowly her eyes lifted back up to his face. A knowing smirk was plastered on his handsome face.
“Next Friday at 6 pm.”
“Huh?”
“You can huh you definitely can hear. Just be there next week. See you then beautiful.”
Lovely stood there staring after him. This man really came up in her establishment and tried to run shit. He had a nerve and he was late. Eason Gray was nothing but toxic trouble.
Chapter Two
“Trinity I’m telling you this nigga is fine as hell! He knows that shit too.”
“Does he have social media?”
“How the hell am I supposed to know?”
“What’s his name?”
“Eason Gray.”
“Yeah this nigga fine because his name flowed so easily off your lips.” Trinity laughed.
“Fuck you, Trin.”
“Damn he is fine as hell! He toxic as fuck though. It’s written all over him.”
“See what I mean.”
Lovely knew it wasn’t going to be easy to ignore. His presence was too damn strong. She knew he had to have a gang of silly bitches somewhere. There was no way in hell she was about to allow herself to be one of those silly bitches.
“You feeling this nigga. I know you.”
“I’m attracted to him. I won’t deny that. Being alone in his house is another story.”
“Let me find out you wanna bust it open for a toxic nigga.”
Lovely side-eyed her best friend. She wasn’t lying though. They way her pussy had been singing since he walked into her office she didn’t know if she was strong enough to hold out. She hadn’t had sex in three years and her gut was telling her Eason Gray wasn’t the one to get involved with.
If I could just get my excited pussy to relax!
“I’m gon pray for you because you gon’ need it real bad.”
The way she was feeling she would need prayer and scripture to keep her from committing a sin she knew would have her repenting from now to next year.
